We provide highly interactive, rich, targeted solutions for effective employee development options. We have significant strength and experience in delivering state-of-the-art media solutions for our clients. Our solutions cover the spectrum of instruction from Low Level through High Level eLearning courses, to highly interactive multimedia, as well as Web 2.0 solutions.
Our graphic artists and multimedia developers have significant strength and experience creating digital media for the purpose of learning. Graphics are created in a wide range of styles, from cartoons to realistic human figures, detailed charts, tables and flowcharts. Our artists understand that visual layout, color, and organization all impact how people see, accept, and understand concepts. Our audio specialists have significant experience in recording and editing audio, music and podcasts. Our video specialists have many years of experience recording and editing video that includes on location as well as green screen technology.
The following information provides descriptions of our computer-based training development services:
Low Level: A Low Level eLearning course closely resembles a slide presentation. For the most part, interaction is limited to using a computer mouse to activate rollovers and pop-ups and click-on hyperlinks or buttons that will open a new window in the course. Knowledge checks are limited to multiple choice, multiple correct and text-based drag-and-drop interactions. The media component is limited to digital photographs and simple graphics (e.g., a flowchart). Audio is included.
Medium Level: A Medium Level eLearning course is more engaging and media-rich than a Low Level course. A Medium Level course requires a medium level of instructional design; character-based storytelling may be used to allow the participants to relate to the character and the learning situation. Activities such as low-level games (e.g., Memory Match and Jeopardy), software simulations, discovery through exploration activities, coupled with the use of various media and visual presentations may be used throughout the course. Examples include custom 2D and 3D graphics and animations, audio, video, digital photographs and the use of characters.
High Level: A High Level eLearning course is much more engaging, requires a high level of instructional design and may use branching and simulated environments to complete the learning experience. Examples of simulated environments include virtual worlds in which models of objects can be navigated and explored; or a social network in which participants are encouraged to collaborate with one another. Extensive use of video and/or custom 3D graphics and animations may be used.
3D Avatars: Engaging and involving the participant is a paramount factor in knowledge transfer. We have used characters and avatars extensively throughout many eLearning programs. While characters should not be included in courses simply for ‘eye candy,’ they often serve as a guide and provide additional detail beyond what is on the course pages. We analyze the use of characters based on the client audience, company culture, course content and theme, reusability and the development schedule. Our graphic artists are experienced in creating graphics for the purpose of learning.
3D Virtual Environment: We create simulated environments and virtual worlds to provide immersive training to our clients. We provide our clients with multiple levels of simulation-based virtual environments. These simulated environments may be single or multi player and can be hosted by our team or reside behind a client’s firewall.
Mobile Solutions: We create custom mobile solutions for our clients using a variety of mobile phones, including but not limited to iPhones, Androids, Mini PCs and the iPad. Beginning with a full analysis of the available mobile platforms and learning needs, we create solutions tailored to each of our clients. Our mobile solutions are media rich and interactive, including games and drag-and-drop interactions.
Online Games: We have a variety of low-to-medium level games for inclusion in our eLearning courseware or as standalone solutions. Games include standards such as Jeopardy and Who Wants to be a Millionaire game show style games, as well as Space Invaders and memory/matching games. We utilize game templates to provide these games quickly and cost effectively. We also create custom games specific to our clients’ needs.
Videos: We use videos in a variety of ways to support our clients’ learning needs. We offer full video production services, including the use of green screen technology. Videos may be embedded within an eLearning course, for example, video of executive leadership endorsing a new learning initiative, video demonstrating the assembly of a tool or operation of a machine, or video to support soft skills and decision-making exercises. Videos may also be produced for use outside of the eLearning.
Custom Graphics: We support a variety of marketing, change management and communication initiatives by developing graphically rich presentations, custom graphics, animations, infomercials, websites and interactive newsletters.
Board Games: We create board games for classroom-based training. We can facilitate these games or provide train-the-trainer services to our clients. In this example, a game similar in style to Monopoly® was designed, providing learners with questions in multiple topics and the opportunity to advance along the board. Depending on the size of the user group, these games may be printed on traditional game boards or on larger mats, which are more effective for larger groups.
Web 2.0 Technologies: We use the latest in Web 2.0 interactivity to meet our clients’ ongoing and timely communication and collaboration needs. We provide thoughtful needs analysis and the application of adult learning principles to identify the best use of these technologies for each client’s situation.
